The world-renowned Off-Broadway classic musical "THE FANTASTICKS" was co-created by Broadway musical giants, Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones. It is the most reputable work which they have inducted into the Broadway Hall of Fame at the Gershwin Theatre as well as won the Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre.

Since its premiere on Off-Broadway in New York in 1960, the play has become a huge hit. Not only has it performed over 21,552 Off-Broadway shows, but it has accumulated over 11,000 productions across the U.S.—including over 3,000 cities in 50 states and more than 68 performances in various countries.

Looking back at the history of all theatric musicals, “THE FANTASTICKS” has become one of the most important and successful musicals of the 20th century. It is the longest-running production in the history of American theater, and it has broken global records and won the Guinness World Record for "the longest-running musical".

"THE FANTASTICKS", with its allegorical humorous works, and high-quality music and script, depicts a couple who have been tempered by the world and gradually mature. To an extent, it conveys the universal allegory story of "love and growth". Many classic songs have created for "THE FANTASTICKS". It also has been remade into a Hollywood movie. Its critics and influences have transcended languages, country borders and generations, making it a must-see in a lifetime.
